You can enjoy this freezer Fudge straight from the freezer for a firmer bite – like a bar of chocolate. Or let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften ever so slightly for a fudgy -melt in your mouth- dreamy treat.
But, hence the name “Freezer Fudge” it’s gotta stay in the freezer or it will melt.
The recipe is pretty basic and easy. Here’s how it goes.
You will need:
- 1 bowl
- Small rectangular baking tray
- Butter paper
You can find all the ingredients listed below on Mint Basil Market.
- 1/4 cup of coconut oil
- 1 cup of crunchy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup of maple syrup or agave
- 1/2 tbsp of vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp salt
Start by adding gradually to your bowl the organic coconut oil, the peanut butter, the maple syrup or agave, and finally the vanilla extract.
Whisk everything together well until you have a smooth mixture.
Line a baking tray with butter paper and add the mixture inside. Shake well to mold the mix evenly.
This step is optional; however, you can sprinkle some chocolate chips on top of the mix or cut some chocolate bars into small slices and spread them evenly. For some homemade sugar-free chocolate chips, make sure to check Tamara’s recipe here.
Sprinkle some salt. Freeze for an hour. Finally, cut the block into pieces and enjoy!
