Homemade Sushi Rolls

Homemade Sushi Rolls

Sushi is easy and fun to make at home - and much cheaper than at the restaurant! Plus, you can choose your favorite ingredients and add-ons and create your perfect custom rolls!

All you need are a few pantry staples, fresh fish and veggies, and some plastic wrap, and you're set to go!

PANTRY INGREDIENTS

  • Nori (Dried Seaweed Sheets)
  • Sushi or White Rice
  • Soy Sauce
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Rice Vinegar
  • Wasabi Paste

FRESH INGREDIENTS

  • Salmon
  • Shrimp
  • Crab
  • Cucumbers
  • Carrots
  • Avocados
  • Radish
  • Bell Peppers
  • Green Onion
  • Or any vegetable of choice!

UTENSILS

  • Bamboo Mat
  • Plastic Wrap

DIRECTIONS

1 - PREP all your ingredients: Cook your rice, slice or Julienne your vegetables, chop your fish, and lay your nori flat on a bamboo mat.

2 - PRESS the rice: Sprinkle and firmly press your rice into the nori sheet (dip your fingers in water to prevent the rice sticking!)

3 - ADD the fillings: Layer your fillings horizontally on top of the rice and season with sesame seeds (or toppings of choice)

4 - CUT and serve: Slice up your sushi into small rolls, drizzle or sprinkle with extra toppings or sauces, and serve immediately with wasabi paste and a soy sauce dip.
