Authentic cultured ghee is clarified butter that is heated, reduced, and triple-filtered. It consists of the butter's oil minus the lactose and other milk solids, and is obtained from cows that are receiving a significant portion of their nutrition from grass.

Grass is naturally high in Vitamins A, D, E, K, and CLA. When the cow’s milk is rich with these vitamins, it goes directly to the butter and therefore the ghee.
